Toei Animation has released the anime Fairy Tail Season 3. This is an ongoing Japanese fantasy anime series adapted from the manga of the same name by Hiro Mashima. The third season of Fairy Tail continues Tetsuya's crossover with Edolas, after the end of Fairy Tail Season 2 in April 2011. Season 3 opens up with Lucy Heartfilia and Natsu Dragneel trying to return to Earth, but they are captured by a giant monster called Zeref at the gate. They try to return home by a boat, but they find a girl called Wendy Marvell and a talking pig named Carla in it. They decide to go with the girls in search for their guild, but they are attacked by a group of pirates led by Bora of Prominence, who were looking for Wendy. As this happens, an army of giant monsters begins to attack the kingdom of Fiore, which is headed by the royalty King Deliora. During their journey towards Guild Orochi (Wendy's guild), they encounter Lyon Vastia and Gray Fullbuster who are also trying to head back home. As they are captured by Bora, they are forced to work together to defeat their captors. After defeating the pirates, the group meets up with Agate Galaxy, who are also trying to return home without landing in Fiore. They decide to give Wendy's group a ride in their ship. When they arrive Earth Land, they find out that Fairy Tail has gone missing. Lucy and Natsu decide to look for them in their hometown of Tenrou Island. But when they get there, the island is completely covered with ice and snow because it has been covered in an eternal winter due to Zeref's powers returning after his death during the end of last season. After solving this problem, they manage to find their guild's members, although it is revealed that Happy (the mascot of Fairy Tail) has been captured by Gildarts Clive. After defeating him and saving Happy, they go with the rest of Fairy Tail to Edolas. After arriving in Edolas, the group goes back home while their guild tries to find a way to get them back into their world. They try many things but eventually end up on an island controlled by the Nine Master Keys of Edolas who are trying to stop any intruders from entering Edolas. After defeating these villains, Natsu and Lucy are able to come home so they can see everyone again. Toei Animation has released the first DVD for Fairy Tail Season 3, which is called "Fairy Tail 3-nin no Eiyū (Fairy Tail the Third Eye)". The first DVD features two episodes.
